The New Seasons Kipling Range!!

Available from 26th October 2012 to buy, will be the new Kipling Holiday Pre-Spring 2012/13 collection.  Again as seen in previous seasonal collections, we lose some favourite styles and one season wonders.  But gain a few new styles or slight alterations to current styles.

From now on, instead of having only two seasonal collections with two phases, you'll be getting four seasonal collections!!  Therefore, more styles & colours ..... MORE KIPLING!!!!!!

The new basic seasonal colours are:

WARM GREY

LIGHT BROWN

CUMIN

KETCHUP

MITCHELL BLUE

GENTLE GREY

POP GREEN

BLACK HEATHER

LACQUER BRONZE

LINE PRINT

The colour RED that made a re-appearance in the FALL12 collection gets the chop yet again  (sorry red fans, but you'll be getting the ketchup instead).

One style that gets tweaked is the ELISE

The two front pockets being replaced by just the one large flap over pocket.

We already have the Creativity S & L.  Now joined by the Creativity XL & X.

We have a few casualties too in this collection.  Gone are the JARITA, CAMMIE, JOETSU S, DAMMIA, MORNA, TEDROS, CARD and one major exclusion!!!!!

THE VINTAGE RANGE!!!!!!

So if you like the Affie, New Ebb etc and your mohawk monkey, you best get them now.

A slight twist to the basic range is the BASIC ELEVATED range

Some of the styles included in this very small range are the DEFEA, DELPHIN, ALVAR, GRACY, NEW ELISE & TEAGAN S.

The Kipling light range unfortunately has only lasted a season but the Basic small essentials makes one more collection.  The Hiphurray bags return to their glorious fine Kipling logo, instead of the images of chips etc that featured in the fall12 collection celebrating Antwerp.  A good move I say!!  These will be available in the basic seasonal colours.

As it will be Christmas soon, Kipling have some cool seasonal monkeys!  Reindeer monkey, Ice Queen monkey, Skating monkey or my favourite .. the Tree monkey or 'Grinch monkey' as I'd like to say.

Discontinued Kipling styles!

Some of our favourite Kipling bags have faced the axe!!

As from the Fall 2012 Kipling range, you won't be getting your hands on the following bags in the new colours:

Sadly the first to go and always a favourite is the NEW CANDY!!  Shocked?! 

Next is the CASKA

Styles that lasted just a few seasons are the: HUBEI & RETH S.

These next styles I'm guessing weren't a crowd favourite as they only lasted one season:

BENATA, CIARAN, ERASTO S, ADARA M & ISAURA

Gone is the mini range.  Styles included are the PUCK, MALAITA & TEDDY.

If you like the G*RILLA GIRLZ range then I suggest you buy them quickly as the whole range has been canned!! No more HARAJUKU & INZAI I'm afraid.

The Kipling 2Go range is next.  However this will be replaced with the Kipling Light range.  These bags will be light, durable, functional & versatile.

There are a few casualties in the Vintage range.  Styles included are the EBB S, GOHJO & AHURU.  Unfortunately the popular DEFEA & FAIRFAX only lasted one season in the vintage range!

Oh, and the PERMANENT BLACK?  It's not permanent!!

It's sad to see some of these favourites go, but rest assured Kipling have new designs coming to you soon!!

So there you have some hot Kipling news.  So remember if you like some of the styles to be discontinued, you best get them quick before it's too late.

Kipling Fall 2012 Collection

KIPLING FALL 2012 COLLECTION

A couple of weeks ago Johnny and myself sat down and viewed the new up coming Fall 2012 kipling collection.  There's some great new colours and exciting new designs too.  Today I'll talk about the new colours.

Firstly, Red & Lacquer Black will be added to the ongoing colours: True Blue, Expresso Brown & Black.  The fantastic brand new colours will be: Royal Red, Ochre Yellow, Beige Brown, Dark Fushia, Blue Teal, Off White, Berry Purple, Lacquer Brown & Lacquer Pewter.  The three print designs to sit along this collection will be: Woven Print, Gypsy Print and my favourite, the 2D Print.  Added in the Back To School collection will be: Fir Green, Bright Turquois, Sporty Blue, Diamond Print & Badge Print.

I'll blog some more information soon about the Fall 2012 Collection, including styles to be sadly discontinued.

We spent last weekend shooting more Kipling product videos so you can get a really good look at all the bags features before you decide if you want to part with your hard earned cash! Caroline again stepped up and volunteered to be in front of the camera (everyone else was too camera shy!) and managed to do everyone in a single take... We always said she could talk for Britain!

Kipling monkey names

Some people love them and others can't wait to take the furry monkey key rings off the bags as soon as they get them home! But whatever your preference you might be interested in how the furry Kipling monkey key rings that come with their bags are named? Well the answer is that Kipling name them after their members of staff. I’ve no idea who gets to pick them, or if those whose name is chosen get a free bag or a day off work (!), but each time Kipling add a new colour to their collection a new furry monkey is born!

Not all the collections Kipling produce have the furry monkey key ring. They come with bags and luggage from the Basic and Vintage collections, but some other collections, such as City or New Horizons, have plastic or metal monkey key rings

So if you love Kipling bags and want to try and match your name with a monkey just check out the list we’ve compiled below. We’ll keep the list updated as the new colours hit the shelves and also dig around and try and find the names of the older colours... Most of these names are based on the small sized monkeys (this is the size that come attached to most Kipling handbags), unless stated otherwise (e.g. xs or m). If you can expand our list or spot one that you think is wrong just add a comment below!
